Pretty Woman :: Inspired by Evil Dead (franchise)

Well, here she is, all finished up. The idea is that this “Pretty Woman” is emerging from the Book of the Dead…to consume your soul!

Bravoman :: [Pin-Up]

A fan art piece done for JoGees. Bravoman was the subject for that week and this is my submission. Bravoman is being chased by a giant robot and we’ve got Dr. Bomb in the background. :D

A to Z Character Challenge :: Amethyst

Here’s the first character for my current (and massive) character list that I’ll be doodling up simple pieces for. This is Amethyst of the DC Nation short Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld.

Here’s Batman, all done up in color! :D

In the background, you’ve got the rough sketch, the cleaner sketch and the lines. You can almost call this a “process piece”.

And, since I made mention of it last time, here’s what I’ve got my shadows and highlights set to and what color I use.

From Sketch to Colors :: Part I

This is normally how I do things, in Paint Tool SAI, from beginning rough sketch to final inks and flats.

I start with a rough sketch, in a combination of blue and red colors. I like to keep things simple but most of the time, my sketches get a bit messy. I like messy. :P

Then, I follow up that sketch with another, this time, adding more details and I use a more refined, cleaner brush.

After that comes the line art which is done with the same tool I use to create that second sketch. The line art layer is set to Binary Color, 50% opacity and I ink over my sketch the same way as if I were to use the pen tool. Once finished, I change the layer back to Normal, 100$ opacity. Nice, clean line art!
