Vacation Time! :D

So, yeah, I’ll be heading to Florida tonight, to spend a week with the fams. It’s a much needed vacation since I’ve been stressed out by a lot of things that have been happening here.

If you’re wondering how this can be possible after my post about not being able to make it to AWA because of financial reasons…

My dad really wanted me to visit at least once before the planned Christmas visit and he wanted it to be a surprise. No one else knows but him and he offered to pay for gas expenses as it wasn’t a totally “planned trip”.

So, yeah, driving 6-8 hours at night to Florida…again. :D

I’ll be back on the 20th, and since they have wireless internet and I’m taking a laptop, I may even be able to stop in and upload some vacation art. :D

It’s not like AWA is the worst con to skip anyway. And you might even get a lot more done because you’re not preparing for it!

The only thing I’m afraid of is doing too much an not having enough room for it in my boxes or a vehicle. :P I guess that would mean a huge table inventory for next year….and lots of under-table storage. O.O

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend Anime Weekend Atlanta this year (due to the lack of the extra monies), as an artist in Artist Alley.

I feel that it’s a good idea to take a break from a convention this year and get some other stuff in order. Con prep, for me, is super stressful sometimes and I end up doing a lot of stuff last minute.

Shame on me…

So, yeah…you won’t see me at AWA this year, at least not as an artist. I may stop by for a day, depending on how things work out here…

Anyway…I’ll definitely be back in the wagon for 2014! See you then!

I’ll be working on the pieces above (hopefully, and not in that particular order); Sonic Redraw Jam for SKRATCHJAMS, Sly Cooper Fan Art, Megaman (UDON Tribute Book Challenge) for JoGees, and I might be able to squeeze in some work for ArtForce’s Chimera Challenge.

No, I haven’t upgraded my internet yet but I thought about testing out the Livestream at least once before doing so, to see if it will actually work. So, if you’re interested, you can stop by my Livestream Channel on Thursday, May 30th. I’ll begin streaming at about 3 PM EST.

Newly manufactured Bunny Bots await their ascent into space. Their main objective; to obtain all carrots within the galaxy and use them as fuel/life for the rest of the Bunny Bot army! Soon, these bunny bots will multiply a million times over, invading planets and living among their peoples. No one would be able to resist their cuteness! All hail the Bunny Bots!

Bunny Bot was created back in February during SatelliteSoda’s annual Daily Draw. I wanted to do more with it, give it an origin. This may even grow into something more bunny-rific.

MomoCon 2014 - Memorial Day Weekend!

MomoCon 2013 was a huge success, with over 12,200 attendees, and we knew that for 2014 we would need even more space. So we are incredibly excited to announce that MomoCon 2014 will take place in both the Hilton Atlanta and Marriott Marquis! The two hotels are directly connected via an indoor skybridge, to help make it one big venue. With this addition of another hotel comes some more news, MomoCon will be moving to Memorial Day Weekend 2014, May 23rd, 24th, and 25th. This is a big change we know! But getting two hotels to agree on the same availability can be difficult, and Memorial Day Weekend promises MomoCon more space in the years to come. We hope you are just as excited about the possibilities as we are!

When we asked for your feedback on MomoCon 2013, over 1000 of you responded. We listened, and based on your feedback MomoCon 2014 will have:

The Dealers Room and Artist Alley in separate areas over at the Marriott Marquis

The old Dealer’s Room in the Hilton will be turned into a 40,000 sqft video gaming arena with more gaming content

We will have more visible security, especially in the common gathering areas

The MomoCon food court will have more and better options

MomoCon in May? I might actually be able to attend more frequently if the new date rolls over for following years. :D It doesn’t bother me that MomoCon is set to run on the same weekend as Animazement next year because I don’t attend Animazement and don’t plan to. For now, all of my convention runs will still remain local (Georgia).
